SHIFTERS (So. Cal):

• The shifters are a serious car club consisting of tight net friends who have been together non stop since 1992. They are responsible for bringing back the resurgence in nostalgic hot-roding ~ the way it use to be, and are one of the first car clubs that formed by younger guys for younger guys and are also responsible for coining the phrase "rat rod". Over the years you have watched them build cars from traditional flathead powered deuce roadsters to wild creations such as Anthony Castaneda's bubble top "brown neck bandito" or mark Idzardi's infamous "purple people eater". both of these cars were shipped to Japan to be a part of mooneyes big indoor car show in Tokyo where the shifters were guest of honor.
